กำจัดขนแบบกึ่งถาวร

ขน เป็นสิ่งที่หลายๆ คนไม่ต้องการให้มี ทำให้มีวิธีการกำจัดขน ตั้งแต่โบราณกาลมาแล้ว ซึ่งวิธีการดั้งเดิม ก็ได้แก่ การถอนขน การแวกซ์ขน การโกนขน การโกรกสีขน แต่ก็ไม่ถาวรในเวลาไม่เกิน 1 อาทิตย์ก็จะมีขนงอกมาได้อีก ซึ่งเราจัดอยู่ในการกำจัดขนชั่วคราว

การกำจัดขนที่เข้าข่ายกำจัดขนถาวรหรือกึ่งถาวร วิธีการกำจัดขนในปัจจุบัน มีอยู่ไม่กี่วิธีที่ได้ผล แบ่งตามความสามารถในการกำจัดขนโดยดูจำนวนขนที่งอกใหม่ต่อจำนวนเส้นขนเดิม จากน้อยไปมากสุด ได้ดังนี้

1. การกำจัดขนด้วยวิธีจี้ด้วยไฟฟ้า ที่เรียกว่า Epilations คือ การปล่อยคลื่น mirowave ไปตามแนวเส้นขน เพื่อทำลายเซลล์สร้างขน โดยมีขั้นตอนดังนี้

      1.1. ใช้เครื่องมือ ที่เรียกว่า Epiltron ซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็นครีม  หนีบกับเส้นขนทีละเส้น แล้วปล่อยคลื่น mirowave ช่วงสั้น ( แตกต่างกันแล้วแต่ยี่ห้อ)

      1.2. มีการขนถ่ายพลังงานไปตามแนวเส้นขน จนถึงบริเวณกระเปาะผม ซึ่งมีโมเลกุลของน้ำ บริเวณ hair shaft เป็นตัวเก็บพลังงาน

      1.3. พลังงานที่กักเก็บไว้ ได้แปรสภาพเป็นพลังงานความร้อน ประมาณ 149 องศาฟาเรนไฮต์ ซึ่งมีผลทำให้ เซลล์ขน( papilla cells) ถูกทำลาย และทำให้เกิดการแข็งตัว( Coagulations) ของโปรตีน ทำให้เซลล์ขนและเนื้อเยื่อข้างเคียงแปรสภาพ

      1.4. หลังจากนั้น วงจรในการเติบโตของเส้นขน จะหยุดชะงัก จากระยะ anagen ไปยังระยะ Telogen และขนหลุดร่วงไป และวงจรการสร้างขนใหม่ถูกรบกวน ทำให้ขนไม่งอกขึ้นมาใหม่ได้

      ดังนั้น จะเห็นได้ว่า หลักการกำจัดขนด้วยวิธี Epilations ค่อนข้างเสียเวลา ทั้งคนไข้และแพทย์ที่รักษา เนื่องจากต้องใช้ครีมคีบขนทีละเส้น ซึ่งทำได้ง่ายถ้าขนบาง และจำนวนไม่มากนัก แต่ถ้าขนดกดำ เส้นใหญ่ เช่น หนวดเครา ต้องเพิ่มพลังงานขึ้นอีก อาจทำให้เกิดความเจ็บปวดได้บ้าง ขณะปล่อยพลังงานเข้าไปที่เส้นขน และพบว่า การกำจัดขนด้วยวิธีนี้ จะเหมาะกับ บริเวณขนที่บาง และปริมาณไม่มาก แต่ก็มีอัตราการเกิดขนได้ใหม่ ภายใน 10 ปี ดังนั้นเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับการกำจัดขนด้วย IPL ,laser จะได้ผลดีกว่า และสะดวกกว่า

2. การกำจัดขนถาวรด้วยเลเซอร์ เป็นการรักษาความงามที่มีวิวัฒนาการก้าวหน้ามากกว่าและได้ผลดีกว่าการทำการจี้ด้วยไฟฟ้า เนื่องจากการจี้ด้วยไฟฟ้าหรือ Epilations ต้องใช้เวลามาก และต้องจี้ทีละต่อมขน และต้องมีความชำนาญ ทั้งแพทย์และคนไข้ต้องใช้ความอดทนระดับสูง

      - แต่ในขณะที่การกำจัดขนด้วยเลเซอร์ ใช้การผ่านลำแสงเฉพาะ และกำหนดขอบเขต ความลึก และใช้ความแตกต่างของสีขน และสีผิวเนื้อ ซึ่งมีความแตกต่างกันในแง่เม็ดสี เป็นตัวกำหนดความแม่นยำ

      - ชนิดของเลเซอร์ ที่ใช้ คือ Alexandrite laser ขนาด 500 nm diode laser หรือ ruby laser 694 nm โดยใช้หลักการที่ว่า ลำแสงเลเซอร์ที่ยิงไปบริเวณที่ต้องการกำจัดขน จะไปเปลี่ยนแปลง และรบกวนการเจริญเติบโต ของผมระยะAnagen ไปสู่ระยะ Telogen ดังนั้น หลังทำเลเซอร์กำจัดขน ขนจะค่อยๆ ร่วงหลุดไป และขนใหม่ที่ขึ้นมา ก็จะเส้นเล็กลง และหลุดร่วงง่าย

      - ผลข้างเคียงที่อาจเกิดได้ ก็คือ รอยแผลเป็น การเจ็บปวด หรือ แผลไหม้ จากเลเซอร์ ถ้าเลือกขนาด หรือขาดความชำนาญในการทำ และแนะนำให้ปิดตา เพื่อป้องกันเลเซอร์มีผลต่อดวงตา

3. การกำจัดขนด้วยเครื่อง IPL ถือเป็นวิวัฒนาการล่าสุด และได้มีการกำจัดขนด้วยวิธีนี้กันอย่างแพร่หลายใน 1-2 ปีนี้เอง เทคนิคในการกำจัดขนด้วย IPL ก็คือ การปล่อยคลื่นความถี่ของแสง เช่น 765 nm ซึ่งช่วงคลื่นดังกล่าวจะไปจับเฉพาะสีดำของแกนผม และจะไปปล่อยพลังงานและทำลายเซลล์ที่ทำให้ขนเจริญเติบโต( germinated cells) บริเวณกระเปาะผม ทำให้ไม่สามารถทำให้ขนใหม่เกิดได้ นอกจากนี้ยังต้องมีการพิจารณาเลือกช่วงคลื่น แตกต่างกัน ขึ้นอยู่กับความหนาแน่นของขนแต่ละที่ โดยคำนึงถึง ขนาด สีขน และความลึกของรากขน ซึ่งสามารถคัดกรองด้วยฟิลเตอร์ ในการกำจัดช่วงคลื่น โดยจะพิจารณาจากลักษณะสีของขน ตำแหน่งของขน เช่น หนวด เครา ขนตามแขนขา หรือตามลำตัว ซึ่งแตกต่างจากเลเซอร์ที่ใช้การกำจัดขนเพียงช่วงคลื่นเดียว ทำให้กำจัดขนได้ไม่เกลี้ยงเกลาเท่าเครื่อง IPL

      - ข้อดีในการกำจัดขนด้วยวิธีนี้ ก็คือพบผลข้างเคียงน้อยมาก ในเรื่องรอยดำไหม้ อาการปวดเจ็บ เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับการกำจัดขนด้วยเลเซอร์ ส่วนมากการกำจัดขนด้วย IPL จะพบเพียงรอยแดง แต่ไม่เกิน 1 อาทิตย์ก็หายเป็นปกติ และไม่จำเป็นต้องหยุดงาน หรือเตรียมตัวอะไร ก่อนการกำจัดขน นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถทำได้กับทุกสภาพสีผิว

      - ได้มีการเปรียบเทียบคนไข้ที่กำจัดขน ด้วยเครื่อง IPL และเลเซอร์ พร้อมบันทึกผลของการรักษาไว้ ดังนี้ เมื่อติดตามผลการกำจัดขน เพียง 1 ครั้ง ใน 3,6,12 เดือน IPL จะพบอัตราขนขึ้นใหม่เพียง 49-54 % เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับเลเซอร์ ซึ่งจะพบขนขึ้นใหม่ ถึง 68-72 %

      - นอกจากนี้ เมื่อได้บันทึกการกำจัดขน ด้วยเครื่อง IPL และเลเซอร์ เกิน 4-6 ครั้ง ใน 12 เดือน IPL จะพบอัตราขนขึ้นใหม่เพียง 22 % เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับเลเซอร์ ซึ่งจะพบขนขึ้นใหม่ ถึง 42-62 %

      ดังนั้นจึงนับได้ว่า ในทศวรรตนี้ การกำจัดขนได้มีวิวัฒนาการมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ทั้งในประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดขน และผลข้างเคียงที่เกิดขึ้น และคาดว่าในทศวรรตหน้า คงได้ข่าวดีๆ ด้านนี้เพิ่มมากขึ้น
